I have been trained in using a Sony Z1 camera to use in a video journalism capacity and have recently completed a Package Making for TV News course. |

| Interests: | With a love of the outdoors I regularly enjoy walking holidays in the Lake & Peak District. I am an accomplished pianist and have for many years enjoyed singing in a ladies choir. With a passion for music and theatre I am regularly out at both amateur and professional productions. But, most of all, I love nothing better then spending what little time I get with my two little boys!! |

| June 2008 – Present | Weather & Wildlife Presenter BBC East Midlands Today (Nottingham) ~ Presenting the weather forecast live, from the studio or on OBs, on the main regional news programmes through the day and evening. ~ Interpreting the MetOffice weather charts and data to understand the weather story. ~ Updating the regional BBC websites with video forecasts, weather scripts and weather bloggs. ~ Presenting & producing the “Sally Goes Wild” series, filming a variety of wildlife across the East Midlands and supplying extended “Sally Goes Wild” videos and accompanying scripts to upload on the local BBC websites. ~ Reporting on various feature pieces. I possess strong attention to detail, I always remain calm under pressure and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently. |
| March 2005 – June 2008 | Freelance Presenter at BBC Radio Derby, BBC Radio Sheffield & BBC Radio Leicester ~ Presenting a weekly Saturday morning show including live interviews with well-known actors from successful soaps & sitcoms. ~ Regularly covering the weekly Mid-Morning & Afternoon shows. ~ The main cover presenter on the Radio Sheffield Drive-time news hour. Working on BBC Radio gave me the extra on air time to hone my already established presenting experience tackling more in-depth and interesting topics and working closely with a producer. |
| Nov 2003 – March 2008 | Evening Show Presenter on Century 106FM (Nottingham) ~ A heavy music presenting emphasis on this show interviewing big names in the music industry. ~ Self-producing the shows with Editorial approval. ~ Broadcasting to the entire East Midlands Region with big audience figures. Having been head-hunted for this job it was an opportunity to stamp my mark in the region with the freedom and reassurance to develop a show to suit my personality. |
| Nov 2002 – Nov 2003 | Early Breakfast & Weekend Presenter on TrentFM (GWR Radio station in Nottingham) ~ Presenting & Producing the Early breakfast show Monday to Friday and the Sunday breakfast show. ~ The “voice” for Cineworld in Nottingham – promoting the upcoming films which played out in all screens throughout each week. ~ Covering for the well established “Jo&Twiggy” breakfast show and anchoring with Twiggy occasionally. It was a great team environment to work in and gave me the support to really push myself and take on many new responsibilities which helped me mature as a presenter. |
| Sept 2000 – Nov 2002 | Breakfast Show Presenter on MercuryFM (GWR Radio station in Watford) ~ Initially working as the co-host in the new Breakfast Crew. ~ Creating and inputting new online page content for our website. ~ Presenting at local roadshows ~ Promoted to solo presenter on the Breakfast Show My first job in a radio station was a steep learning curve. Thankfully, I thrive when thrown in at the deep end! |
